Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to cancer research, helping more people beat cancer every year. With thousands of staff, we are a large, complex, dynamic and diverse charity.

We are seeking an experienced Public Affairs Officer to join our award-winning Policy and Public Affairs team. In this exciting role you will use a variety of methods to communicate Cancer Research UK’s position on cancer, health, research and charity issues to Westminster and with other external stakeholders. Working closely with our policy and campaigns teams, you will raise the profile of Cancer Research UK in Parliament and make a compelling case for improvements in cancer, health, research and charity policy.

The Person

The successful candidate will bring proven experience of working in public affairs and will have a successful record of influencing the parliamentary and policy environment. You will be organised, confident and have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ideally you will already have good relationships with Parliamentarians and a good grasp of parliamentary procedure.
