Job Description

A great position for a creative all-rounder - combining both policy and public affairs - to develop the profile of this healthcare charity and influence across the UK.

Our client is looking for a good team member and leader, who can work on their own initiative. This is a busy, demanding and hugely worthwhile opportunity. You'll be comfortable communicating with all manner of stakeholders, including decision makers in the health sector and elected representatives in all 4 UK nations.

You’ll have a wide range of contacts and will understand external developments in policy and legislation and how to react, with creativity and initiative, to policy debate. You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of current issues in health and social care. You will be able to develop public affairs strategies which have measurable impact. You can show a record of successful stakeholder relations, policy development and management of issues. An understanding of media/PR and electronic media is desirable. Your written and spoken communications must be first rate. Knowledge of the regional assemblies would be useful; of Westminster and Whitehall, essential.
