Age UK Job Description

Age UK is the new national charity formed by the merger of Age Concern and Help the Aged. Our ambitions are huge - we aim to reshape our ageing society, so that later life is a time of security and opportunity for all.

To succeed we need to communicate our influencing priorities to parliamentarians and political audiences and involve them in shaping our influencing agenda.

We are seeking an exceptional public affairs professional with experience of parliamentary influencing to ensure the voices of people in later life are heard at the heart of UK politics. If you can bring a mix of excellent written and oral communication skills, high-impact influencing, and creative project management experience then we want to hear from you.

You will be able to add value to a team already working to influence politicians, policy audiences, other charities, the media and think tanks by developing and implementing parliamentary strategies that resonate with and involve these groups. You should be able to demonstrate that your previous work influencing parliamentarians achieved real change. You will have great attention to detail and be confident in organising and delivering influencing events. You will have an interest in our issues and a passion for working with older people.
