Advocate Job Description

Advocate is a specialist healthcare policy and public affairs consultancy. We help our clients understand government policy and implement strategic programmes of communication in Whitehall and Westminster.

We require a Political Researcher to support ongoing client campaigns. The role will involve:

  • Monitoring UK Parliaments, government and media
  • Researching and producing papers on policy and stakeholder analysis
  • Producing tailored regular monitoring reports for clients
  • Assisting and participating in new business pitches and client meetings as required
  • Supporting social media and digital communications.

The successful candidate is likely to have a demonstrable interest in politics and social policy, and first degree in politics or government. They may also have a second degree in a policy related area.

They will have a good working knowledge of the political and media landscape in the UK, with excellent written skills, strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills. They will have a hardworking and flexible approach, with a strong attention to detail and an ability to work to a high standard within tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will have a strong desire to learn and an aspiration to progress in public affairs.

Package: £20,000 starting salary (depending on experience) plus performance bonus, 25 days paid holiday and private medical insurance. Excellent career prospects apply.
