We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced government relations leader to ensure that World Vision UK is established as a strong, influential and credible voice with decision/policy makers in order to leverage real change in the lives of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable children. Your role is to increase the influence and credibility of World Vision UK with government and multilaterals in the areas of child health, humanitarian action and child rights/protection.

To bring the leadership and expertise we are seeking for this work, you are likely to:

• Be a highly experienced influencer, networker and spokesperson in different fora (HMG, DFID, EC, NGOs and Multilaterals) with excellent political instincts
• Have evident ability to lead the team in engagement with senior politicians, policy makers and figures in public life
• Have leadership experience that includes coaching staff to achieve high levels of performance, to work effectively as a team and to engage in effective cross-cultural & cross-functional working to achieve shared goals.
• Have a strong understanding of Development theory, policy and practice, and maintain a good up-to-date knowledge of the international development sector
• Have proven experience of developing, implementing and monitoring strategic and operational plans and handling complex operations
• Be competent in budget, financial management and monitoring with multiple stakeholders
• Have a desire to apply and develop your Christian faith and your professional skills.
