Up to 12 month Fixed Term Contract (Full-time)

Universities UK, which is responsible for the management of the Europe Unit, is looking for a temporary Policy Officer to work in a three person unit comprising a Europe Unit Manager and another full-time Policy Analysis and Public Affairs Officer. Unit staff work with colleagues at Universities UK and across the UK HE sector to ensure that UK HE is informed and equipped to deal with policy initiatives and legislation emanating from European bodies. This post is offered for 12 months.

The Europe Unit is a sector-wide body which raises awareness of European issues affecting UK HE; it seeks to coordinate the position of UK HE sector in debates on the Bologna Process and EU policy.

You will have a degree or equivalent, experience in policy development and analysis, and experience in an EU institution, or of working in European affairs in the UK.
