Building reputation in cynical times

Is it possible to drive performance and good business practice in a world of transparency?

This free debate will examine the role of trust and reputation in business. We’ll be asking whether working more openly can boost reputation, or whether it can only suffer in a world where access to information is instant and plentiful.

Does opening up provide the greater accountability that drives improvements in performance and reputation, or does it distract from getting the job done? With an expert panel, we'll examine whether reputation can be built by working in a more transparent way.

Panellists include:

  • Jane Simpson, Network Rail's Chief Engineer (Chair)
  • Ed Saperia, Open Knowledge Ambassador
  • Richard Thomas CBE LLD, Former Information Commissioner
  • Martin Rosenbaum, Executive Producer, BBC

There will also be lots of time for questions, and you’ll be able to carry on your discussions over drinks after the debate finishes at 7pm.
