Greater Manchester has been at the forefront of the devoution agenda since its inception and with the election of its first mayor to take place in May 2017, it is clear that this is still on track.

Control over transport will be one of the new major powers of Greater Manchester's first mayor with the ability to introduce Osyter-style smart-ticketing and, through the Bus Services Bill, to franchise particular routes. But what are the plans to improve transport across the region? How does HS3 factor in the plans of the Greater Manchester candidates?

Join DevoConnect for an evening of discussion and debate with speakers, including mayoral candidates Cllr Sean Anstee and Andy Burnham MP, presenting their vision of a connected North.

The event will be followed by a drinks reception.
