The Society and College of Radiographers is the only professional body in the UK representing the whole of the workforce of radiographers. Founded in 1920, we are one of the oldest and most experienced radiography organisations in the world.
The manifesto will outline how radiotherapy services should better operate in the future NHS. We have drawn on our professional knowledge and our involvement with the general public which is extensive: nine out of every ten patients who attend hospital will be seen by one of the Society’s members for diagnosis or treatment.
Confirmed speakers include Dr Dan Poulter MP, Rt Hon Andy Burnham MP and Paul Burstow MP.
We will be calling on the next Government to:
- recognise that radiographers are leaders in cancer care and at the forefront of delivering innovation in the NHS;
- ensure the UK has access to the latest and most effective clinical imaging technologies;
- support radiographers as the leaders in cancer treatment.
