A review of MSPs’ interests, the factors that influence their opinions, their key sources of information and their views of sectors and organisations after the Referendum.

Robert Cumming (Managing Director, PA Advocacy) reviews results from the recently completed 2014 MSP Survey. For the most recent survey, conducted after the Referendum, Robert met personally with 80 MSPs to assess the extent to which opinions of sectors and organisations have been changed as a result of the constitutional debate, their perceived key priorities for the Parliament in the current session and the appropriate ways in which organisations should communicate with MSPs and support the work of the Parliament.

The purpose of the annual survey and of this discussion is to help those who have responsibility for engaging with MSPs better understand what drives opinions and how to develop and maintain effective relations.

The sessions will be chaired by Kirsty Peebles, founder and managing director of newsdirect. Copies of the MSP survey slides/data and newsdirect's MSP contact database will be available to order at the event.

This event is endorsed by CIPR Public Affairs in Scotland Group - 5 CPD points available.

NB The 10:00 and 12:00 sessions will be covering the same material, so no need to book for both.
