Bellenden Local is recruiting for an Account Executive to support and work alongside a team of consultants. We are looking for an exceptional candidate that has the right attitude, determination and passion for political communications.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be graduate level or equivalent;
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Have some experience of working in either public affairs or party politics;
  • Demonstrate knowledge and interest in local politics;
  • Possess a professional eye for detail;
  • Show an interest and experience in planning communications/planning policy/the built environment;
  • Hold a driving licence;
  • Be equally comfortable working as part of a team and working on their own initiative;
  • Be enthusiastic and friendly.

Key tasks will include:

  • Producing monitoring reports for clients;
  • Research and analysis;
  • Attending client meetings;
  • Engaging with stakeholders;
  • Organising events;
  • Supporting the team on multiple client accounts;
  • Pro-actively identifying potential new business opportunities and contributing to new business research;
  • Demonstrating well-grounded policy knowledge in specific areas which are of relevance to the client accounts you work on;
  • Producing concise and high quality written briefings and reports.
