Join the PubAffairs Network

Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Join the Network

The post holder will be responsible for coordinating and delivering internal and external communications across the Trust with the support of the Policy and Communications Manager. You will also be responsible for responding to media requests, preparing media briefing and handling media enquiries.

Within this role you will be expected to:

  • Have excellent verbal and written skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy;
  • Be proactive, confident, and a persuasive communicator;
  • High level of organisational skills;
  • Experience of working in media, communications or journalism;
  • Experience of editing websites;
  • Good knowledge of the national, regional and political offline and online media (including social media);
  • Have the ability to translate complex information for different audiences;
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and manage different priorities.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the national, regional, and political offline and online media, have an understanding of disability issues, and have a sound knowledge of the charity sector.
