Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Join the Network

The Communications team is looking for an Intern with an interest in gaining experience across all areas of their work and contributing to the steady workflow of a fast paced and highly demanding department. The role will involve research and social media support as well as essential assistance to every stage of event organisation including on the day support.

Applicants must be able to work in the United Kingdom and be available for an immediate start.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable knowledge of social media in particular twitter and facebook;
  • An interest in events, media and communications;
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills;
  • Drive and initiative;
  • Self-starter who can act independently;
  • An affinity for the mission and themes of the Legatum Institute.

Internship Details

This placement is full time and will last for a period of 6 months.

Interns work a 40 hour week (9.00am to 6.00pm with an hour lunch break) and be paid the minimum wage. Please note out of hours working will often be required however you will be given time back to offset those occasions.

Interns are expected to carry out general office duties as required.
