Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

We are recruiting an Events Co-ordinator to support our business development and communication teams in delivering an exciting and ambitious programme of conferences and networking events.

The office is exciting and dynamic place to work. We engage with decision makers at the forefront of energy policy to shape the future energy market. The ADE has growing membership, with more than 100 organisations representing a wide range of energy market participants from industrial manufacturers to local authorities and smart energy innovators.

About the role

The position covers the co-ordination of a wide range of events which bring together industry leaders, key stakeholders, parliamentarians and ministers.

The role includes coordination of our headline Heat and Decentralised Energy Conference, sector specific member conferences and our black-tie annual Awards Dinner, which attracts up to 500 guests.

Developing additional networking events outside London to better support our members will also be a key part of this role.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive person who can become a key member of the Business Development team. You will co-ordinate with external consultants and contractors while working closely with the ADE’s Policy team and Communications Manager to ensure exciting content for our events and increase revenue. You will feel comfortable seeking sponsorship and financial support for our events from members and external parties.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organisational skills. You should enjoy engaging with new people and maintaining relationships and you will require and have a proven ability to manage event budgets.
