UKCP is the leading body for the education, training, accreditation and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors in the UK. We represent over 8,000 therapists who work in a range of sectors, including the NHS, schools, charities, and private practice.

We are active in mental health campaigning: particularly in terms of raising awareness of psychotherapy, improving access to psychotherapy, and raising the quality of therapy services. We also take an active role advocating on behalf of our members, and local therapy services where our members work, such as those facing potential downsizing or closure.

As Policy and Advocacy Officer, you will provide substantial contributions and support to UKCP’s national policy and campaigning work, as well as leading on the organisation’s local advocacy work.

This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in mental health campaigning. The position is part of a vibrant Communications Team, and reports to the Policy and Public Affairs Manager.
