Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

This is an excellent entry level opportunity to support the development of policy and stakeholder engagement activity within an influential organisation in the healthcare sector.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to policy committees (including attendance and proactive agenda management in conjunction with the relevant chairs, note taking and dynamic action plan progression);
  • Providing administrative support to the wide range of activities the organisation undertakes, including representation, advocacy and policy development;
  • Provide communications support in including updating of relevant information on the website, preparation of updates on current initiatives for internal and external audiences, and publicising the organisation’s work and projects.

To be considered for this role candidates must have a minimum of internship or other experience working in a healthcare policy setting.

In addition, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A strong academic background (graduate calibre) in a relevant discipline;
  • Excellent communications skills (both oral and written);
  • A proactive work ethic with intellectual acumen and an enquiring mind;
  • A demonstrable interest in healthcare policy;
  • Strong motivation to develop and enhance your professional skills.
