With the general election and local elections just round the corner, we're looking for a talented, dynamic and passionate individual to join us as a Policy Intern and help our campaigning work and support other key national projects.
As an intern you will get to work with a variety of our staff, at national and local level, while working on real projects that will not only help the sector develop but also enhance your skills, capabilities and career.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is:
- Educated to at least University Degree level or can demonstrate ability at that level;
- Has knowledge and understanding of local government and UK political and parliamentary system;
- Has first rate organisational skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure;
- Has the ability to communicate at all levels with excellent oral and written skills;
- Has good research capability. with the ability to interpret and process large amounts of information;
- Has the ability to work individually or as a member of a team;
- Has a high standard of computer/digital literacy;
- Has the ability to build good working relationships.
