If you like a challenge and variety, no two days are likely to be the same in this busy role in a fast paced political office. We are recruiting two interns to join our dynamic team this summer for 3 months. The successful candidates will support the work of the Mayor’s policy team – one with a focus on policy briefings and research, the other focused on communications and engagement. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in politics to work at the heart of city governance.

To really hit the ground running, it would be ideal if you had a good knowledge of the city’s political landscape and/or local authorities and an understanding of the Mayor’s priorities is key. You will have excellent writing skills and a strong understanding of social media and blogging. You will take a flexible and enthusiastic approach to your work and it goes without saying that you’ll also need to be a team player – we work together to create a calm yet dynamic environment.
