Join the PubAffairs Network

Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Join the Network

We are currently looking for an intern to assist with day-to-day monitoring tasks and general support for the team of consultants. The position will be a six month full time internship position, starting in mid-October 2016.

Role will involve:

  • Monitoring websites and EU policy developments;
  • Writing reports on relevant items debated in the European Parliament;
  • Following public debates in the Council and Commission;
  • Conducting ad-hoc research;
  • General administrative work and office tasks;
  • Opportunities for increased responsibility.

Requirements:

  • English speaker, knowledge of French;
  • Interest and familiarity with EU legislative procedures;
  • Interest in policies related to audiovisual, media, copyright and advertisement;
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
  • Computer literacy; knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Positive attitude, flexible, team player, sense of humour.

A small monthly stipend will be provided to the intern for the length of their internship.
