Lexington Communications is one of the UK’s leading independent public affairs and communications agencies, specialising in providing an issues-based approach to political and media challenges. We have a broad range of high-profile clients in a number of different sectors including financial services, health, transport, energy and food.

We are currently looking to recruit a Research Consultant to join our political intelligence team.

The successful candidate will be involved in:

  • Tracking parliamentary and media activity for a range of clients on a daily basis;
  • Providing research and public affairs support to our client account teams;
  • Helping with event planning and logistics.

The job would suit a bright, enthusiastic graduate with a willingness to learn and a desire to build a career in public affairs. An ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines is essential, as are good personal organisation and time management skills.

The successful candidate will gain experience of working in a highly political environment, with exposure to high-profile clients in a variety of sectors. He or she will also be able to participate in the Lexington training programme.

Candidates must have an active interest in, and understanding of, politics and current affairs. Proven political experience, preferably working for an MP in Westminster, is desirable.
