Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Our client is one of the UK's leading public affairs and communications agencies. We are currently engaged with them on finding an enthusiastic self-starter to join their London property practice. The successful applicant will be a determined individual with an interest in politics and regeneration.

We are looking for a candidate capable of undertaking the following tasks:

  • Research local communities including councillors, residents associations and local businesses;
  • Organisation of public exhibitions;
  • Monitoring of print media, social media and local blogs;
  • Undertake survey activity with residents, businesses and stakeholders in support of projects;
  • Help the team to engage in face-to-face contact with councillors, residents and local businesses on sensitive projects.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate written presentation skills and attention to detail.

This position is particularly suited to a candidate with experience in the property or public affairs sectors, in a party political role or local campaigning.

Our clients work is mostly project-based and they operate in a very competitive industry so candidates should be willing to get stuck in on a wide range of work from day one. A good work ethic and ability to work constructively with colleagues are therefore essential.
