Following on from the success of our General Election Prediction Competition last year, Orbit Communications have decided to make the last seven days of the election a little more exciting. Orbit, one of Scotland’s leading integrated PR and public affairs agencies, has launched a competition to predict the number of seats that each party will win in Scotland.

Next week 129 newly elected MSPs will come together to form a Scottish Parliament with more power than any that has gone before. It is a pretty safe bet the majority of those MSPs will be members of the Scottish National Party. But how many will make up that majority?

Click here to predict the number of seats that each party will win out of the 129 in Scotland. The entry closest to the final numbers will win their choice of champagne or whisky. All entries must be in by 10pm May 5th.

Simple enough right?

Last year we learned that election polls can get it massively wrong and that a Shy Tory was not some kind of mythical creature. With this in mind who do you think will emerge victorious from the fight for second place in the Scottish Parliament? Will Ruth Davidson be adding her dream job of holding the SNP to account to her CV? Or has Kezia Dugdale achieved what Jim Murphy never could?

What about Anas Sarwar? If a week is a long time in politics then it must have been a long year out after the people of Glasgow told him to drop the MP from his name. 12 months on have they realised their mistake and will we be seeing Anas Sarawar MSP at the next FMQs?

Willie Rennie has said he is having the 'time of his life' in this election campaign but do the electorate feel the same? Can Tavish Scott and Liam McArthur hold their island seats and help keep the Liberal Democrats from complete obliteration?Or will Holyrood be a much less lonely place for Patrick Harvie in the next parliament?
