After two months of summer tinkering, Fantasy Football Managers breathed a sigh of relief at the return of the Premier League in August. Already four Gameweeks down before this week’s September international break, the PubAffairs Fantasy Football league has begun to take shape for the season ahead.

A good start for Richard Wainer (Head of Public Affairs & Corporate Responsibility – EE) leaves him top of the pile after August, and as such named as this season’s first Manager of the Month. An impressive August total of 224 was underpinned by the high-flying Manchester City trio of Kompany, Sterling and Touré, and complemented by sensational starts by Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson and Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez.

There is still time to join over 135 other practitioners in this year’s Competition. To take part, users must first register their team on the Premier League Fantasy Football website, and then join the league using code 617143-153982. Those who competed last year will be automatically re-added to their league when they register their team for this season.
