I am looking for a Head of Public Affairs for a think tank in London on a one year contract.

Role description

• oversee and manage the public affairs, parliamentary and communications strategy and provide policy and parliamentary analysis at a senior level to the Chief Executive in order to promote the policies and objectives of the think-tank
• manage on a day to day basis the public affairs, communications and parliamentary programme
• manage and plan the public affairs strategy and parliamentary programme, including the promotion of research and responses through events, round-table discussions and meetings, including at party conferences, working within the relevant budgets and co-ordinating the attendance of guest speakers including Ministers at events
• analyse and assess Government, political party and stakeholder publications and initiatives and prepare advice and briefing notes to identify potential impact and areas of intervention
• promote an understanding of research and policy by monitoring parliamentary business and ensuring that policy and objectives are raised in debates, parliamentary questions.

Who we're looking for

• I am looking for a personable person who has good public affairs experience that can step on board and cover a maternity leave.
