A transport client of Electus is searching for a Head of Public Affairs to lead on all transport policy and government relations.

You will provide political counsel to the leadership team, scan the horizon for changes within the policy and governmental landscape and communicate these changes. This includes possible threats and obstacles to the organisation and roadmap a path through these obstacles, turning them into opportunities.

Externally you will engage with stakeholders in Westminster, Whitehall and in Local Government, managing the organisation’s reputation and providing leadership on transport policy formulation. You will also plan and lead the implementation of all engagement programs that complement the organisation’s strategic communications program.

You will be a senior public affairs professional, with a demonstrable track record of success in the transport sector. You will have been in previous leadership positions in the past and would be looking to make a move into an organisation that is at the forefront of transport policy in the UK.

Knowledge of transport policy is essential. This position is strategic in nature and would suit a candidate with the gravity to deal with senior stakeholders.
