Fantastic opportunity to manage the public affairs and communications function of a high profile trade association.

A high profile membership organisation within the design space needs to recruit an Interim Head of External Affairs to join them from the start of August for at least 6 months. Responsible for overseeing a team of 6 and reporting to the Communications Director, this role will manage the organisation's reputation through a targeted policy, public affairs, media relations and campaigns programme.

The appointed candidate will develop and execute external affairs strategy for the organisation, identifying priorities and building and managing partnerships with external stakeholders. You will lead on providing advice on current and emerging key public affairs issues likely to affect the organisation and wider industry, as well as representing the organisation at key industry events and during meetings with political stakeholders.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with broad communications and public affairs expertise, ideally gained within the built environment space or with a membership organisation. You will have proven experience of influencing policy on behalf of stakeholders and of managing teams.
