A boutique public affairs and communications agency are currently seeking an Account Director to lead on delivering public affairs and communications counsel to a portfolio of clients in the healthcare, property and other sectors.

The role will suit an ambitious public affairs practitioner who is looking to broaden their experience beyond public affairs and develop skills across the different strands of communications from within a small, collaborative environment. The role will provide considerable responsibility from the outset.

You will be responsible for developing relationships with Westminster and Whitehall officials generating appropriate communications outputs including policy documents, press releases and briefing notes. You will also advise on corporate reputation issues and manage client relationships.

Please note that there will be no business development responsibilities attached to this role.

The agency is seeking a confident and articulate individual who has the following experience:

  • Existing experience in public affairs, ideally with some exposure to the wider communications disciplines (media relations/PR/ crisis etc.);
  • Excellent writing, presentation and organisational skills;
  • Strong client relationship management skills ideally developed from within another agency environment;
  • Demonstrable experience of engaging with a variety of audiences including politicians, the press, Whitehall officals etc.;
  • Experience of healthcare public affairs would be ideal.
