An international communications firm specialising in Public Affairs and Corporate Communications are in search of an experienced Account Director to join their successful Public Affairs team.

With deep expertise across a range of sectors including financial services, energy, technology and healthcare, consultants are encouraged to work internationally if they wish across multiple offices.

The successful candidate will form part of the UK Senior Staff, which helps Directors run the business, manage and train the team and grow the client base.

Role requirements:

  • Providing clients with strategic and tactical advice on day to day public affairs engagement, as well as campaign planning and development;
  • Using practical and intuitive understanding of Westminster, parliamentarians and the policy process, whilst developing a strong awareness of clients objectives and issues;
  • You will be able to add ideas in a creative and social environment that values hard work and good sense;
  • Use appropriate skills to provide our clients advice on communications, day to day media engagement, liaise with journalists and run integrated PR and PA campaigns.

Profile and Skill Set Required:

  • You are a skilled, focused and ambitious public affairs communications practitioner with an in depth knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall;
  • You will understand how the media affects politics and vice-versa;
  • Good understanding of and familiarity with the political community across the UK;
  • Self-confident, hard-working and competent when dealing with Senior Management;
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with clients, potential clients and parliamentarians;
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of the political agenda in the UK, an understanding of the EU and display an ability to achieve campaign success and policy wins for your clients.

Candidates must be enthusiastic, confident and dynamic and wanting to make a significant and meaningful change in career aspirations.
