Meeting Place Communications is a dynamic and growing public affairs consultancy seeking to recruit a motivated and ambitious Account Executive for its expanding Chelmsford office.

Founded in 2006, MPC works across the country with offices in Bath, Reading, Chelmsford and London. Our clients include national and regional housebuilders, commercial developers and renewable energy providers.

MPC is a great place to learn - our Account Executives provide a range of research and support activities for our project team, getting actively involved across the board. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate with an interest in PR, politics or public affairs. Graduate candidates with relevant experience are also welcome to apply.

THE POSITION

MPC is seeking an enthusiastic new Account Executive for our Chelmsford office. You will be working with our Chelmsford team on projects across the east of England and with our other account executives, managers and directors across the company.

MAIN DUTIES

Project support:

  • Research into issues and personalities on specific development sites;
  • Visits to project sites for research and community engagement purposes;
  • Media monitoring and analysis on project sites;
  • General administration of individual projects.

Marketing and sales:

  • Research into potential sales leads;
  • Input into new business pitches and participation in presentations.

Events:

  • Attendance and support at events, including public exhibitions;
  • Compiling guest lists and producing mailings.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Articulate, with good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Research skills;
  • Good administration and organisational skills;
  • Word processing and IT skills;
  • Interest in politics.

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience of political campaigning;
  • Previous experience or interest in the development industry and development planning;
  • Previous office based work experience;
  • An interest in social media as a tool for engagement;
  • A full UK driving license.
