The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Cascade Communications is an agency specialising in the local government, regeneration, property and planning sectors which punches above its weight with a first-class client list and which has ambitious growth plans.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn quickly, work hard as part of a small team and think creatively. Established in January 2011 and based in Regent Street, we are seeking the right candidate to help with all aspects of our business: administrative tasks, marketing, managing events, preparing for client meetings, researching political audits, drafting exhibition material and much more.

You will already have demonstrable industry experience but will develop further hands-on experience of every aspect of our business and we will ensure that you will have opportunities to progress your career.

Essential skills:

  • Ability to take the initiative;
  • Clear and concise writing;
  • Comfortable working in a small team with limited supervision;
  • Methodical;
  • Well-organised and able to multi-task;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Confident and willing to share ideas freely;
  • Sociable;
  • Interest in local government, property and planning.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of working in an office environment;
  • Good IT skills;
  • Interest in politics and/or involvement in party politics;
  • Experience in using social media for campaigning would be an advantage.
