Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

MPC is expanding and we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and commercially focused individual to join the team in our Bristol office. The ideal candidate will have a background in public affairs, politics, communications and/or public consultation and a keen interest in the built environment and property sector.

They will be passionate about stakeholder engagement and community consultation and be able to build rapport quickly both with clients and across the business. The successful candidate will also be able to identify new business opportunities and develop client accounts.

About the job

As an Account Manager we would expect you to:

  • Have a sound understanding of the various levels of government work;
  • Be articulate, with sound written and inter-personal skills;
  • Have a client centric attitude that prizes accessibility, responsiveness and quality;
  • Have strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage your workload on multiple projects;
  • Demonstrate drive, proactivity and innovative thinking.

Working with the Director you will develop creative engagement programmes to meet the needs of your clients. This will include organising public exhibitions and stakeholder events, political and stakeholder research and preparing high quality materials for web and print. You will identify new business opportunities and lead new business meetings.
