As we start our 20th year in business, Newsdirect has a vacancy for an Account Manager covering policy developments in public health and sport.  Working from our Edinburgh office, the successful candidate will track developments across parliament and government institutions to identify opportunities for our clients to engage or follow-up with policymakers.

Our monitoring team tracks all the crucial sources of parliamentary, government and political news with a particular focus on the devolved institutions. In this role, you’ll quickly develop campaign insight,  gain real-time policy knowledge and work with some of Scotland’s most renowned campaign teams.

What makes Newsdirect different? We are putting innovative technology in the hands of our expert monitoring team and creating a service that’s second-to-none in our sector. We keep clients updated on a weekly, daily and hourly basis, ensuring that they are the best-informed on all the issues that matter.  With Newsdirect on board, our clients get time to focus on the craft of public affairs, not the search for glue and scissors.

We are looking for individuals with policy insight, news judgement and great communication skills. Our team will provide all the training you’ll need, but we’d especially love to hear from candidates with prior experience of a live news environment or in the provision of public affairs support.
