Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Electus are working closely with a top market consultancy who offer their clients a world-class service in the planning and property, local government and community consultation arena. They are now looking to make the strategic hire of an Account Manager.

The successful candidate will be expected to be able to communicate confidently with clients and stakeholders, run high profile community consultations, liaise with the media and be an integral part of the team. The successful candidate will also play a supporting role in new business development across core client sectors.

You will be working from day one on high profile projects, speaking daily with the consultancies top clients, having the opportunity to engage and influence on crucial work.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience working in an agency environment on stakeholder engagement, consultation or political lobbying programmes;
  • Experience of management and budget control;
  • Experience of successfully using digital channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube for previous communications campaigns;
  • Excellent writing skills that can translate to a number of different corporate styles and target audiences;
  • A good understanding of local authorities and the local political landscape, particularly in relation to planning and development;
  • Experience of working across multiple client accounts  to challenging deadlines;
  • Good degree (2:1 or above).
