The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

This is an exciting job opportunity working in the heart of the Mayor’s Office at the Greater London Authority.

Acting as a day-to-day contact for the Mayor and his team, you will be primarily responsible for managing the Mayor’s relationship with the London Assembly and assisting with the preparation of Mayor’s Question Time, Assembly Plenary meetings, People’s Question Time, the annual State of London Debate and other mayoral scrutiny meetings and events.

You will be responsible for monitoring and responding to scrutiny by the London Assembly and building strong links between the Assembly and the Mayor’s Private Office.

Working alongside the Mayor’s team, and liaising with colleagues from across the Greater London Authority - including Transport for London and the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime - you will have a proven capacity for working in a complex and fast-paced political environment alongside senior public figures, experience of developing and writing high level briefings, a track record of developing systems and processes, excellent organisational skills and an talent for forming excellent working relationships with colleagues and external organisations.
