Due to an internal restructure, an influential healthcare membership body are currently seeking an Interim Assistant Director of Policy & Campaigns to lead the organisation’s policy and campaigns activity ensuring a robust and influential policy voice in the broader healthcare landscape.

This is a key, strategic interim appointment where you will lead a high performing team across the UK to ensure the organisation retains its proactive approach to healthcare policy influencing. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategically leading policy and campaigns across the UK, ensuring membership involvement and engagement;
  • Ensuring the continuation of the organisation’s leadership role in influencing the future of healthcare across Government, the NHS and other institutions and organisations;
  • Overseeing the delivery of the organisation’s engagement with politicians and policy makers;
  • Providing the appropriate policy and campaigns counsel to senior leaders internally;
  • Managing a team of 8 spread across London, Wales and Scotland.

This is an interesting brief with a well-respected organisation. 

To be considered, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • An extensive background in health policy development and campaigning (or another related subject matter);
  • Strong leadership experience with demonstrable ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Extensive experience in Whitehall and Westminster engagement;
  • Management of budgets and teams is essential;
  • Experience of working in a change environment.
