Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

It’s no exaggeration to say that our client is an internationally renowned communications consultancy. With a network across dozens of international offices, it’s no wonder their client roster lists some of the biggest names in the world.

With an already impressive footprint in the UK, we are working together to find a suitable candidate with the experience and skills to open an office in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have a pre-existing network in the North West as well as experience of running top public affairs accounts.

You MUST be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the growth of the office;
  • Managing the budgets of the office;
  • Developing a network of professional contacts in the region;
  • Developing new and existing client relationships and business opportunities;
  • Delivering against financial targets;
  • Connecting the Manchester office to other offices across the UK.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of politics, public affairs and wider communications;
  • Understanding of infrastructure, planning and development;
  • Experience of the planning system and consultation process;
  • Experience of running accounts to a high level as well as developing new relationships with clients;
  • Outstanding written and oral communications.
