Priding themselves on being more than an average communications agency, our client offers an integrated specialisms across strategic counsel, proposition and brand development, stakeholder engagement, public affairs and media relations.

They work with a range of clients from multinationals, governments and NGOs within focussed industry sectors, including energy.

They are looking for an experienced consultant to join them as Associate Director as part of their Energy Practice. You will need to be a disciplined self-starter with a client-oriented attitude and determination to deliver first-rate results across multiple complex accounts.

The role:

You will play a crucial role in driving first-rate delivery for clients, building our reputation and contributing to our growth ambitions.

The role’s primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading on projects and core accounts and setting clear direction for client teams;
  • Taking direct day-to-day responsibility for delivering activity for new and high net worth accounts;
  • Setting the highest standards of project management, accuracy and overall service delivery;
  • Business development, identifying new opportunities;
  • Bringing fresh thinking and new approaches to our client offer;
  • Exploiting and growing a network of contacts to generate new business opportunities;
  • Delivering excellent client outcomes at all levels every day and on every account.

You will need:

  • Significant communications experience working in a consultancy environment at Account Director level or equivalent;
  • The ability to lead clients, thinking logically, laterally and creatively on their behalf;
  • Strong project management ability, with evidence of successes delivering quality work and directing projects from concept to conclusion;
  • Established connectivity in the Energy sector, Whitehall and Westminster or the media;
  • A proven track record in winning new business and a hunger to build- attracting, retaining and expanding client relationships;
  • A strong leadership presence, with evidence of the ability to motivate and get the best from teams;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in written communications;
  • Education to degree level (or equivalent) and highly proficient computer skills.
