Job Description:

You will be an experienced Campaigns professional with leadership, strategy and line management experience. The successful candidate will lead a programme of campaigning with the cancer community to achieve changes which will improve the lives of people with cancer.

You will:

  • Design and oversee the delivery of an online and offline programme of campaigning and within the cancer community;
  • Develop our client’s network of online and offline campaigners;
  • Establish and deliver campaigning offer to network of supporters including volunteers, and donors;
  • Lead, develop and trial innovative and impactful campaigning strategies;
  • Work with colleagues to support the development of local campaigns aligned with national priorities;
  • Be responsible for ensuring that campaigners are effectively supported and stewarded and receive appropriate guidance, information and advice when campaigning;
  • Develop innovative ways to engage supporters with  campaigns and ensure a high quality of experience for those involved;
  • Working closely with the insight team conduct regular analysis of the campaign database to enable targeted and personalised communications;
  • Produce detailed analysis of campaign results through digital performance data including Google Analytics and Engaging Networks data;
  • Effectively manage the Campaign Team, budget and resources;
  • Deliver inspirational and supportive line management, building a committed, empowered and successful team.

Essential skills:

  • extensive experience of running multiple campaigns simultaneously;
  • line management experience including excellent people management skills;
  • excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with a wide range of people and audiences;
  • strong communication skills and an ability to build relationships, both internally and externally with key stakeholders;
  • Significant experience of managing an online network of campaigners;
  • experience of people and community engagement models and methodologies;
  • Significant experience of using digital campaigning and advocacy platforms such as Engaging Networks;
  • Proven experience of managing production and distribution of campaign assets both commissioned internally and through contracting with external partners.
