The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

A healthcare professional body is currently seeking to recruit a Campaigns Adviser to work as part of the policy and campaigns team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering impactful campaigns that raise awareness of the policy priorities of the organisation amongst a variety of audiences.

A busy role in a policy rich environment, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with colleagues in the policy function to ensure synchronisation of campaigns with relevant policy themes;
  • Working with policy colleagues to ensure campaigns are backed up with a robust evidence base;
  • Crafting the relevant narrative to ensure campaign messages are delivered with impact;
  • Working to secure engagement with key external audiences – Parliament, policy makers, opinion formers and others across the health policy landscape.

Required knowledge, skills & experience:

  • A strong academic background to degree-level or equivalent;
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering a policy campaigns to a variety of audiences;
  • A strong understanding on the UK political landscape;
  • Existing experience of, or a genuine interest in, the healthcare policy arena;
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills with the credibility to represent the organisation to a variety of external audiences (parliamentarian, policy makers, etc.).
