Mobile is a fast paced and dynamic sector. In early 2016, the UK’s mobile network operators (O2, Three, EE and Vodafone) launched Mobile UK, a new organisation created to act as a single, authoritative voice for the sector in the UK.

In start-up, Mobile UK will consist of a small, experienced, home based, team of three – a Director, a Communications and Policy Manager and an Administrator. This executive team will work closely with the public affairs, communications and regulatory colleagues within the UK mobile network operator members to develop and execute strategy, at this pivotal time in the evolution of the mobile sector.

The Communications and Policy Manager will be an experienced communications executive; a self-starter with a track record of delivery. The role will be closely involved with the development of public policy in the telecommunications sector and so experience of having worked with the UK’s Parliaments & Assemblies, governments and/or regulatory bodies will be an advantage. There will be considerable scope to contribute to and influence the establishment and evolution of Mobile UK.

The role will be home based, with the preponderance of external meetings in London and the Thames Valley, although travel to other parts of the UK will be regular. A competitive salary is offered in line with qualifications and experience.
