The European LPG association, AEGPL, is the sole representative of the LPG industry at European level, representing national LPG Associations as well as distributors and equipment manufacturers from across Europe.
Our mission is to engage with EU decision-makers and the wider policy community in order to optimise the contribution that LPG - as a clean and immediately available energy source - can make to meeting Europe's energy and environmental challenges. Due to the extreme versatility of LPG (it can be used in hundreds of applications, e.g. heating/cooling, industrial processes, passenger cars, heavy duty/off-road, etc.) AEGPL activities encompasses a wide range of legislative and regulatory fields at EU level.
AEGPL is looking for a Communications and Public Affairs Manager to join its multicultural team of six. He/she must be a creative communications professional with a hands-on attitude, with a passion to engage both external and internal audiences. The right candidate should also have a solid understanding of the EU policy environment, and should be able to turn sometimes rather technical issues into a language adapted to a wide diversity of non-specialist audiences.
Main Duties/Tasks
- Devise and execute overall communications/public affairs strategy for the association on specific legislative dossiers or sub-sectors/applications of LPG;
- Organisation of policy events on specific topics of interest to the LPG sector in Brussels, generally in partnership with other stakeholders;
- Project management of external publications to position LPG and its potential to contribute to Europe’s energy mix;
- Build relationships with key Brussels stakeholders;
- Project management of internal publications such as AEGPL’s annual statistical report, annual review, and members directory;
- Management and delivery of online newsletters/newsflashes including the drafting of content;
- Management of website (internal and external), and twitter account;
- Management of the AEGPL Annual Congress speaker programme in close partnership with team members;
- Assist AEGPL members with enquiries related to policy, technical, and other matters.

We offer
