Responsibilities:

  • Effective project management of multiple client projects;
  • Support the fulfilment of client strategies and media campaigns, through effective planning and management of media and communications channels;
  • Assisting with the creation, development and implementation of communication strategies;
  • Drafting press releases, statements, comment pieces and features;
  • Developing strong relationships with national, international and trade journalists;
  • Copywriting and managing the production of a range of marketing and e-marketing materials;
  • Event planning and management;
  • Be responsible for the achievement of campaign or project objectives within agreed timescales and budgets;
  • Maintain rigorous quality control over work produced;
  • Participate in new business development including producing proposals and attending meetings;
  • Manage delivery partner relationships and suppliers including creative;
  • Monitor legislation and global trends which inform public policy client sectors;
  • Contribute to the commercial development of Aequitas and attend events on the company’s behalf;
  • Participate in and contribute to regular team meetings and strategy sessions;
  • Work with junior team members and interns for mentoring and support when required.

You will have:

  • Experience managing multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects;
  • Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last minute changes;
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors;
  • Experience of dealing with journalists and placing news stories;
  • Interest in international affairs and public policy;
  • Relevant comms experience, including writing press releases, media strategies etc;
  • Collaborative attitude;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
