The International Chamber of Commerce UK is the voice of international business in the UK. We work – both domestically and internationally – on behalf of our member companies to champion the importance of open markets, sensible regulation, and business-led growth.

We also produce a number of rules and standards which facilitate cross-border commerce and promote responsible business conduct.

The role

We are looking for a new Director to lead the organisation’s development and enhance its reputation for excellence within industry and government:

  • To provide strategic leadership of ICC UK in association with the organisation’s honorary officers;
  • To represent the interests of ICC UK members with policy-makers in the UK, EU and internationally;
  • General management of all aspects of the organisation, working with and guiding a small executive team. This includes ensuring close and positive relations with member companies, recruitment of new members, overseeing the organisation of ICC UK events, marketing and sales of ICC publications, and maintaining full financial accountability against agreed budgets/targets;
  • Maintaining and developing links with key stakeholders in the global ICC network and major media outlets.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a background in policy making, public affairs, and/or a trade association. This is an important role which carries a large amount of responsibility. Ideally we would like someone with:

  • Proven leadership abilities;
  • Some experience of business development and/or events management;
  • Confidence in dealing with the media and public speaking;
  • Personal integrity with a commitment to maintaining high standards in an organisation with significant growth potential.
