Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

An exciting opportunity is available to work with the Berkeley Group, London’s leading residential developer.

You will be providing public affairs and communications support around a variety of major issues and events in the housing and property sector.

Berkeley aims to create fantastic homes in amazing places. The business has built 10% of all new homes in London over the last 5 years and been ranked the most sustainable major house-builder in the UK for the last 8 years in a row. 

The successful candidate will be an excellent written and oral communicator, able to distil complex information, write briefings and speeches, and advise on stakeholder relations and new policy developments.

This job is available 3, 4 or 5 days a week.

Key requirements:

  • Good experience in a public affairs or communications role – either in a consultant, agency or in-house capacity;
  • Some awareness of housing policy issues and an appreciation of current affairs;
  • Excellent oral and written communications – attention to detail is essential;
  • Ability to understand and condense complex information into a clear and brief summary;
  • Ability to solve problems and respond quickly to emerging issues;
  • Educated to degree level.
