Financial services organisation based in West Yorkshire are currently seeking an External Communications/Affairs Manager for a permanent role.
Reporting to the CEO, this is a strategic role that will be responsible for defining, developing and implementing a suitable external affairs strategy that will seek to engage with all appropriate stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop an external communications strategy that incorporates PR, public affairs and external stakeholder engagement;
- Act as an ambassador for the organisation, engaging with media and cultivating an external profile that is suited to their strategy and enhances their reputation amongst relevant audiences;
- Brand management, conveying core values effectively;
- Digital content delivery (digital, print, social media).
Candidate profile:
- Strong academic background (to degree level or equivalent);
- Demonstrable experience in external strategic communications;
- An interest in sustainable finance;
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with evidence of engaging with all manner of stakeholders in a thought-provoking and accessible way;
- An awareness of the political context - financial policy, public affairs and so on.
