A leading energy organisation are working with Electus to appoint an External Relations Manager. The successful candidate will work across the organisation and provide media relations support and play a key part in developing communication strategies for the business. In return, they will have the opportunity to work within a leading team and learn from a well-respected organisation.

Key accountabilities:

  • Lead and support on media activity;
  • Manage a variety of reactive issues and develop proactive PR and stakeholder opportunities;
  • Develop PR and stakeholder opportunities and identify any media threats;
  • Deliver online campaigns for the business, working closely the media team;
  • Being creative with new approaches for external communications and continuously improving communication channels;
  • Produce media reports and analysis for key projects;
  • Act as a spokesperson when required.

Profile of the successful candidate:

  • Experience communications professional with a track record of developing and delivering media relations;
  • Strong experience within a corporate media role;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of stakeholder relationship management;
  • Excellent written and oral skills and attention to detail is key;
  • Ideally have experience of working within a utility, oil, gas or power industry.
