A leading energy organisation are working with Electus to appoint an External Relations Manager. The successful candidate will work across the organisation and provide media relations support and play a key part in developing communication strategies for the business. Key accountabilities:
- Lead and support on media activity;
- Manage a variety of reactive issues and develop proactive PR and stakeholder opportunities;
- Develop PR and stakeholder opportunities and identify any media threats;
- Deliver online campaigns for the business, working closely the media team;
- Being creative with new approaches for external communications and continuously improving communication channels;
- Produce media reports and analysis for key projects;
- Act as a spokesperson when required.
Profile of the successful candidate:
- Experience communications professional with a track record of developing and delivering media relations;
- Strong experience within a corporate media role;
- Demonstrable knowledge of stakeholder relationship management;
- Excellent written and oral skills and attention to detail is key;
- Ideally have experience of working within a utility, oil, gas or power industry.
