Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Join the Network

A newly created role with a global corporate, the Government Affairs Manager will lead on engagement with political and wider stakeholders across Scotland.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and analysing the healthcare environment in which the organisation operates and identifying opportunities and issues;
  • Providing senior management with updates and analysis;
  • Researching and formulating policy positions;
  • Building effective networks with politicians, policy makers, civil servants, media, think tanks etc;
  • Forging coalitions with third parties and representing the organisation at meetings and events.

Strong networks and a track record in political engagement in Scotland is essential and you’ll be a good project manager, adept at mapping out and building relations with external stakeholders, and with first class writing and influencing skills. A keen knowledge of health policy would be highly preferable but other sectors could be considered.
