Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The Free West Papua Campaign

The role:

  • To work alongside exiled West Papuan leader, Benny Wenda, to play a leading role in developing and delivering the campaign for self determination;
  • To build relationships with international parliamentarians, lawyers, NGOs and institutions such as the UN and representing the campaign at public events and private meetings in the UK and overseas;
  • Spearheading urgent action campaigns, producing briefings, establishing media contacts and writing press releases.

The candidate:

  • Demonstrable experience in carrying out advocacy with governments and institutions with an excellent grasp of the political landscape and experience in developing and implementing political strategies;
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential alongside an ability to be culturally sensitive together wish experience of working with the media;
  • A clear ability to establish priorities, meet multiple deadlines and work well under pressure and able to work by alone and under own initiative.
