A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of Policy, Research & Communications at an influential public sector body.

You will:

  • Line manage the policy and communications team and capability of needs of employees;
  • Lead our research and policy work to ensure we can use the lessons learned from to improve our work, and to influence debates with customers, regulators, policy makers;
  • Lead the communications strategy and the ongoing communications activity including overseeing the programme of communication to consumers and key external stakeholders;
  • Lead the programme of engagement with key stakeholders to ensure that the organisation continues to be well positioned in the legal, political and consumer worlds;
  • Liaising with key stakeholders in relation to the delivery of the organisations policy objectives.

The Successful Applicant will have:

  • Experience of policy development and leading on evidence based research;
  • Public affairs experience and management of political relationships;
  • Stakeholder management experience;
  • Knowledge of, and commitment to, a consumer service environment;
  • Change management experience;
  • Excellent communication skills - able to communicate complex material clearly with an excellent command of language and audience;
  • Senior level management experience leading a policy or public affairs function.
