A leading British business representative organisation is seeking an individual to head up a team focussing on electronic devices and services. Whilst experience in consumer electronics is not a perquisite, experience in the consumer goods field would be beneficial.

The organisation in question represents close to one thousand companies in the UK across some of the most innovative and interesting sectors.

The Role:

To represent the interests of this organisation’s stakeholders you will work with representatives of business and Government at the highest levels to support the development and implementation of a challenging agenda.

Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will hold themselves out as the voice of the industry to relevant parliamentarians and government departments and other external organisations;
  • Lead the development and implementation of communication’s programmes that meet the needs of all stakeholders;
  • Contribute to the enhancing the profile of industry through tactical work and communication programmes.
  • Manage industry consultations, small projects, working groups and industry boards and committees;
  • Develop relationships with senior board members and CEOs.

Candidate Profile:

  • The successful candidate will have a deep specialisation in strategic communications at a senior level and an understanding of the challenges faced by the technology sector;
  • Have the ability to effectively manage industry consultations, small projects, working groups and industry boards and committees;
  • Have an enthusiasm for technology and its role and benefits in government and society in general.
